Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Music of Your Life is raising awareness of domestic violence during October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month through a two-level public service project …

It is assisting in the promotion of the movie Woman Thou Art Loosed, which opened nationally October 1. More about the movie.

Music of Your Life is recruiting assistance from other radio stations and networks. Wink Martindale is hosting the Making of Woman Thou Art Loosed radio special to air on hundreds of stations nationwide. He interviews the movie's stars and producers …

  • Kimberly Elise, who plays the starring role and most recently appeared opposite Denzel Washington in John Q and is starring in the upcoming Manchurian Candidate;
  • Bishop T. D. Jakes, whom Time magazine proclaimed as “America's Greatest Preacher” and stars as himself; and
  • Director Michael Schultz and and Producer Reuben Cannon.

Secondly, Michele Anastasio, who was the lead singer on Music of Your Life’s sold-out Spring Music of Your Life At Sea sailing on MSC Lirica, and is returning for its 2005 theme cruise season, is not only a “survivor,” but also a “thriver.” She spends a great deal of time helping others who have gone through similar situations, and is lending her recording of Hold My Hand to Music of Your Life’s efforts to raise awareness of domestic violence awareness. Music of Your Life is airing the song throughout the month.
